Every Year Young Presidents Organization brings together leaders of all stripes (though leaders from various disciplines; business titans; political animals; futurists; artists) to its Global Edge Conference. Edge 2015: Dreamtime is in Melbourne on March 26 and 27, and we here at The Meehan Group are quite intrigued by the speakers we'll be translating into Japanese
The geek in us wants to mention first astrophysicist Michio Kaku. But in doing so, no disrespect is meant to Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani girls' education advocate -- and Nobel Laureate. For the geo-politically minded, Former President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai will face a BBC journalist. Musician and anti-poverty activist Bob Geldolf will speak, and Singer Olivia Newton-John will entertain the attendees.
Topics. So very many. So here's a small smattering of those that caught our eye:
- Destination: Mars
- The Dream of a World Without Cancer
- Implementing Science Fiction
- Social Media: Rebooted
- DIGITAL EARTH – Disruptive Spatial Technologies
- Harnessing Big Data, Technology and Marketing in the Decision Economy
Expect a summary of our experience in early April.
